Cebu City—The Branch personnel recently got their first vaccine dose in line with the government’s immunization drive against COVID-19, says Regional Branch Director Rogen S. Cumba.
The inoculation was administered by the Department of Health-Regional Office VII in its TB Pavilion vaccination center.
He said that as DOLE’s arm mandated to handle conflicts, we entertain face to face consultations and complaints of our worker-clients.
This exposes the personnel to a high probability of getting inflicted with COVID 19 virus, he added.
Being so, it will hamper the delivery of our services to our clients where conflict management is needed most especially during this time of pandemic.
The vaccination will definitely boost protection of the personnel from the invisible enemy.
Four personnel of the Branch have been vaccinated ahead of the rest because they have comorbidities.
“I had experienced flu-like symptoms the next day and my husband experienced mild migraine. We took medicines to ease the pain which we experienced for three days.” shares Ms. Christine P. Ferniz.
“Getting inoculated with COVID 19 vaccine somehow made me feel confident considering the nature of our work where were are exposed to people coming to our office seeking assistance. Though it was clearly explained by the health experts that it’s not a guarantee of not getting the virus but in case you will be infected, it will not cause severe damage to your entire health system.” accounted Mr. Gary P. Saladores.
Meanwhile, government workers are essential workers falling under the A4 category.
